About Eekosystem Services
Michael Sullivan
Founder
Newport, Rhode Island
Eekosystem Services was founded by Michael Sullivan, a former IBM executive and pioneer in Smarter Water, Smarter Planet, and technology-enabled environmental transformation.
Michael has spent his career working at the intersection of water, energy, climate, infrastructure, agriculture, technology, oceans, and public-private partnership. His work has focused on helping organizations make complex systems more visible, understandable, actionable, and valuable.
Eekosystem Services builds on that experience by serving as a mission studio for sustainable outcomes — helping partners fuse science, technology, strategy, story, and purpose into platforms that can move from idea to impact.
Michael brings a rare combination of systems thinking, narrative strategy, partnership development, technology fluency, and mission design. His work is grounded in the belief that the next generation of progress will come from reconnecting innovation to the living systems that sustain us.
A rare combination of Mission design and building capabilities.
Systems Thinking
Seeing how complex challenges connect across sectors, scales, and stakeholders.
Narrative Strategy
Shaping the stories and language that build belief and move markets.
Partnership and Solution Development
Connecting institutions, funders, innovators, and communities around shared missions.
Mission Execution
Translating complexity into high-performing teams, reference engagements and ventures that can scale.
"Great design is not decoration. It is the disciplined act of turning complexity into coherence."
